You are receiving this email as you have been confirmed a financial member of Hawthorn RSL Sub-Branch on 31 January, 2026.
Please find links below to the final agenda, nominations for committee positions, draft remits for discussion and a copy of the minutes from the 2025 AGM.
As notified previously, there were only single nominations for the positions advertised and the Committee will move to appoint the nominees to the positions. This action will be put to the membership for endorsement at the AGM.
No items were submitted to the Secretary for discussion under General Business.
We value your participation to ensure we continue to serve and support our veterans and members effectively.
We encourage all members to attend and take part in shaping the future of our sub-branch.

Notice of the Annual General Meeting of Hawthorn RSL Sub-Branch Inc
Dear Member,
This is to advise and remind you of the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the members of Hawthorn RSL Sub-Branch Inc.
The details of this meeting are as follows:
Date: Sunday 22 March 2026
Time: Doors open 10:30am with an 11:00am start
Place: Meeting room - 605 Glenferrie Road Hawthorn 3122
At the meeting, members will have the opportunity to:

Find out about Hawthorn RSL operations and finances

Ask questions of the operations and finances of Hawthorn RSL
-
Speak about any items on the agenda – at a later date
-
Vote on positions that are for re-election in 2026
-
Vote on any resolutions proposed
At the meeting, members will be asked to vote to:

Accept the minutes of the last annual general meeting
-
Accept the annual report
-
Accept the auditor’s report
-
Accept the annual financial statements
-
Elect new committee members
The following special resolution/s will be proposed at the annual general meeting:

Remits and motions for the State Conference

Pathways to further funding of renovations to the Sub-Branch building

Executive positions for re-election as follows:

The Sub-Branch is also accepting nominations for:

Members wishing to nominate must submit their nomination by Tuesday 24 February 2026, along with:

A current police check (as per RSL Victoria policy)

A profile photo

Proof of service history

A statement on how you believe you can add value to the Sub-Branch
Being on the committee is a significant commitment, and we ask all nominees to consider their nomination carefully. Candidate details will be shared with the membership prior to the meeting when the Agenda will also be circulated.

Following the closure of nominations, the Agenda and Nominee profiles will be finalised and circulated to all members. Voting will be in person, for those wishing to vote via email, please contact secretary@hawthornrsl.com to register your interest.
